Our Team
Nutrition expertise. Leadership experience. Practical coaching.
Melody Barrons, A.A.S., FNTP, CF-L1
Melody Barrons is a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner whose work brings together evidence-informed nutrition education, corporate leadership experience, group fitness, and more than a decade of hands-on nutrition coaching.
Over the years, Melody has helped hundreds of individuals move through the confusion created by rigid diets, conflicting advice, and plans that do not account for real life. She is known for making complex health information easier to understand and turning it into clear, practical action.
Her coaching style is direct, supportive, and grounded in the belief that your body is always communicating. She helps clients recognize signals such as changing energy, digestion, sleep, cravings, mood, recovery, libido, and body composition; understand what those signals may be telling them; and choose a realistic next step.
Melody’s experience working with individuals, groups, and workplace teams helped shape the BNP Signal System: a practical framework that teaches people how to read the signals, understand the message, choose a response, observe the feedback, and adjust.
She understands that most clients do not need more rules. They need a way to sort through the noise, recognize what matters, and build adaptable confidence in the choices they make.
Her work supports energy, digestion, metabolic health, body composition, strength, performance, resilience, and long-term wellbeing—with better overall health always remaining the larger goal.

Better Together
Barrons Nutrition & Performance, formerly The Tactical Kitchen, reflects the evolution of the work Melody and Steve have been doing together since 2016.
Through years of hands-on coaching, they have helped hundreds of people find practical ways to understand what their bodies need and what their bodies are telling them. The BNP Signal System grew from that experience—and from Melody and Steve’s personal experiences navigating nutrition, health, performance, and changing needs in their own lives.
Together, they help people read the signals, understand the message, and make confident choices that work in real life.
